So, first of all let me tell you I found your channel by watching some Subnautica tutorials you made previously. I know, I'm late to the party, but backlog of the games is big :) Having said that, it would imply that i love base building games, and i truly do... i have like 5 digits of hours in Cities Skylines 1, love the games like Factorio, and i think it all started in early 2000's with Caesar 3, a granddaddy of all city builder games. But... I don't like the base building in Fallout 4, and I think majority of people who are in that boat "should" tell you the most obvious reason why, but that isn't always a case, and particularly not in this video, so let me offer you a perspective. In Fallout 4, you can totally ignore this aspect of the game, but you lose the piece of the story from one faction helping you reach or destroy the proposed antagonist. And even if you decide to use that faction for above mentioned goal, all you need to do is to help couple of settlements, you don't even have to build anything besides few necessities like maybe 1 gun turret and a bed or two. However, I play Fallout 4 exclusively in survival mode, which means sooner rather than later, I will have to engage with the settlements. Frankly, I usually do the bare minimum for them, making just enough defense, and never actually call any new settlers. I use it as my outpost to have a place to sleep or drop less useful junk that weights me down. The few times I decided to engage with the settlement mechanics, rebuilding the Commonwealth, it quickly became apparent to me how unfinished this feature is. I don't refer to clunky mechanics of actual base building, this can be fixed with mods, no, I don't have problem with that. What happens in the background is what I hate about FO4 settlements to begin with. For example, no matter how many walls you build, and no matter how many missile turrets you build, enemies will always find the way to spawn in smack center of your settlement or there will always be one idiot that got themselves kidnapped. If you develop your network of settlements it soon becomes a cat and mouse game when you're asked to go help this settlement, now go help this settlement, go help that settlement.... It's very hard to break out and say, I wanna do something else now. If we had the tools where we could make settlements sustain themselves, where at certain point you've done enough for the settlement so attackers can not breach the 285 defense value you have or can not spawn on the other side of the wall, or there are minutemen who will investigate kidnapped people instead of the god damn GENERAL..... then that would be the different experience which would make base building more appealing to more people. Nowadays, when i play FO4, base building is the last thing on my mind. A turret, a sink and a bed is all i need from it. Do i think it needs to be removed. Absolutely not. It's a great addition to FO4, albeit with some major flaws that will hopefully be addressed in the next iteration of the game, no matter when it is released.

Just some descriptions I wrote for some of the hostiles, new and old: Warden: A golem and protector of the Ancient Cities that sunk into the Deep Dark, where the invasive Sculk fungus has overtaken and swallowed most of the subterranean caverns. It cannot see what intruders have entered, as the Sculk has melted and fused with it's eyes long ago. Unaware of the passage of time, it's purpose remains the same; to protect the people of the Ancient Cities who have long since evacuated from the invasive Sculk fungus that threatened to spread to their children, newborn, and unborn within the wombs of their mothers. Drowned: Once regular zombies who fell into the depths, the oceans have twisted them with their pressurized horrors, and the torrential seas have waterlogged their decaying flesh, yearning to drag others down into the abyssal zones of their new graves so they may find their final rest. Blaze: Remnants of the cursed Wither Skeletons that were cast into the lava, engulfing their skulls and crystalizing their bones into molten hot rods, these spirits are not truly alive. They lash out with fireballs, their presence of flickering embers given sentience by the ever-present flames that are relentless as eternity itself, their fireballs being a desperate attempt to spread the inferno that consumes them. Skeleton: The relentless dead, forever condemned to walk the Overworld, now stripped to a point they are fleshless. The once proud archers are unmatched, even from beyond the fossils of their porous bones, rattling with intricate and sharp eyed focus to drive an arrow into the hearts of their disturbers who have been consumed by their sin of greed that drives them into their catacombs. Their dry bones, however porous they are and may be, have not seen the sunlight in centuries long passed, the rays will sizzle them to a point of combustion, scorching their remains until they collapse into a pile of their former selves. Silverfish: Drawn to the light of torches, these silvery infestants swarm from the cracks and crevices of the strongholds that sit abandoned. Lest be their nests destroyed, their numbers be rallied and thy will to burrow through the flesh of the opposing miner who wrought destruction to their nests be done. Endermen: Slender beings from a distant dimension that is The End, these wraiths teleport with unsettling fluidity. Drawn to the sun, their vacant stares hold immeasurable, unknowning malice. As with gorillas and between their silverback who leads the troop before all, they don't like staring contests. To stare back into the inverted abyss is to challenge them, and they accept with miners' goal of their aggression achieved beyond measure. The pearls they hold allow them to unleash a barrage of quick strikes with their clawed limbs. Creepers: These silent but hissing stalkers were said to be pigs, but corruption rules as inside their pulsating mass of tangled vines, lie a concealed and volatile heart. Unaware of their impending doom, they inch ever closer, a single wrong step triggering the detonation leaves their foes forever a smoking crater. Ender Dragon: The colossal sovereign of The End, she is the protector who guards the gateway back to the Overworld. Her relentless assault fueled by insatiable hunger for the pearls of this distant dimension. Her immense wings stir the very air, her fiery breath of indigo and violet leave a swathe of destruction in it's wake. But there is more to this sovereign ruler, as deep within her grey underbelly where she stands proud, carries her child that would one day be raised by her victor in ritual combat.

Legion Assassins also carry the Brush Gun. If you become Vilified by Caesar's Legion, Legion Assassins will begin appearing regularly throughout the game. In addition to Brush Guns, you can also get 12.7mm SMGs, Marksman Carbines, Assault Carbines, and Thermic Lances.

Just want to add that when you try to get the blueprint for the Machete, you have to kick the toolbox exactly 75 times. If you kick it less or more than that, the box won't open.

Why does everyone say that 12.7 is rare. Albeit not found in containers often or even enemy's carrying something that fires that ammo. But before I even got a gun that fired 12.7 I had 3300rnds again albeit not my first playthrough and I knew it wasn't an ammo I was going to be finding by way of looting

Yeah, its missing a story with consequences. The procedurally generated planets are boring as shit too. They only partially generate planets and can't really be bothered to generate truly interesting geologic features. There are no volcanos. No rivers. No river deltas. No peninsulas. Very few lakes, mostly tiny ponds that are sometimes floating above the terrain or cut off at the edge of a terrain tile. It's just a tremendous let down. There are only so many locations that can be procedurally generated so if you do explore them you run in to the same nonsense locations with the same inbuilt short stories over and over. Its like if you walked around the commonwealth and ran in to Saugus Ironworks 14 times and the castle 18 times.

10 luck 10 intelligence 10 Charisma 5 Endurance 3 Strength 1 Perception 1 Agility All the skills, all the gambling, and companions hit like trucks (CHR increases their damage drastically!) and carry you to late game Get implants to take your Strength up, increase DR, Regen health and boost your endurance & Strength (and anything else that's not 10 if you wish) Get Brotherhood armor with +1 Strength +25 radiation resistance (Helpful for the vault and town covered in radiation Take skilled & good natured traits Take nerd rage, The DR perk twice, The companion perk that increases their DR, meltdown, laser commander, lady/confirmed perk/terrifying presence, jury rigging, Miss fortune & Stranger, comprehension &educated Take laser weapons because they're light and do good damage (get the robocorp rifle ASAP early game, later change to tri-beam) Get your lockpick/repair/science/barter/speech/medicine to 90 (points & books) and energy weapons to 100 (this being the last thing you focus) Keep skills at 90 and save your +10 books when needed (can put to 100 later in you want but for early game this lets you bump-up other skills sooner) If you have the DLC then you can easily get enough points to also get unarmed to 100 and to take the perks that make it better (like paralyzing palm) You'll want to do this and get a ballistic fist so when you nerd rage you can turn into a Strength 10 punching death machine (but can still play the game easily without) This build let's you basically experience everything in 1 play-through and you can easily max all skills if you wanted to with the DLC

An notable difference between the Lover's stone and the Guardian stones. The Guardian stones' effects stack with the experience gain bonus effect gained from resting, but the Lover's stone effect is permanent version of the "Lover's Comfort" Effect, which is the strongest of the resting experience bonuses. Because you already have Lover's Comfort, you are prevented from obtaining any other resting Bonus. This can be circumvented if you have the Lover's stone as your Aetherium Crown slot, as it does not replace a resting bonus you already have. This allows you to combine a Guardian Stone with two versions of Lover's Comfort for a massive boost to experience yield, you just need to put the crown on after you wake up.

For people who don't like using the "Wait" mechanics or just want the time conversion. In-game day=72 minutes real time. 2 ingame days=144 minutes real time (a little under 2 and half hours). 10 in-game days=12 hours real time. 30 in-game days=36 hours real time. Fast traveling, sleeping, using carriges/boats/silt striders, and obviouwly waiting all advance these timers so long as you do not accidentally load the effected cells (enter the area). For merchants, this means the area the "mercant chest" is in, and not the area that the actual npc is, so talking to Belethor on the streets of Whiterun won't reset his timer, but entering his shop will even if he is not there.

For Oblivion veteran, take those statues DIERCTLY to Umbeccano for the extra gold and faster access to the quest. But if having to adventure and grab the other statues, please store them safely in one of your houses and get the hidden bundle of gold for all 12 statues of what was it, 5500 gold?

For those curious, Ghouls do exist in elder scrolls canon, they only appear in Elder Scrolls: Arena, but anything from arena that wasn’t explicitly over written is still considered canon. They're not very interesting, and are basically just a less interesting version of the Eaters of Flesh (Cannibal Draugr) from Morrowind: Bloodmoon.
